The Serengeti hot air balloon safari is widely regarded as one of Africa's most iconic and extraordinary experiences. Launched at first light from the central Serengeti, your balloon drifts for one hour over the vast plains as the sun rises — below you, wildebeest herds stretch to the horizon, lion prides return from their morning hunt and elephant families move in slow procession toward the river.
After landing, a full bush breakfast is set up on the plain — champagne, fresh coffee and a panoramic view across the endless Serengeti. This four-day package combines the balloon with Big Five game drives and a full-day Ngorongoro Crater experience.
Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport. Transfer to Arusha for a quick stop, then fly to the Serengeti. Afternoon game drive en route to your lodge.
The defining day. Transfer to the balloon launch site before dawn and lift off at first light. One hour drifting silently over the Serengeti as the migration herds graze below and the sun paints the plains gold. A champagne breakfast is served on the plain after landing. Full afternoon game drive.
Drive or fly to Ngorongoro. Descend into the world's eighth wonder for a full-day Big Five crater experience — black rhino, lion prides, hippo pools and flamingos.
Final morning on the crater rim. Drive to Arusha and transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
